Earlier this week, we unanimously approved a new 5-year Strategic Plan for TCAPS.
This new plan builds on the work of our previous 3-year plan, carrying forward four focus areas and adding a new one: health, wellbeing, and school connectedness.
It also aligns closely with our mission, vision, and values—including our shared commitment to inclusive education, equitable access, and success for all.
With nearly 40% of our students (about 3,400 kids) living in or near poverty, I’m grateful that this plan sets clear, intentional goals for our students furthest from opportunity.
Big love to Holly T. Bird, whose advocacy earlier this year helped spur important conversations that led to these equity goals.
I’m proud to support this 2030 vision and excited to see what we can accomplish together over the next five years. 💙💛

Onward.
