At this week’s school board meeting, some truly outstanding TCAPS trades students were recognized during the superintendent’s report.
From agriculture and aviation to robotics, engineering, graphic arts, construction trades, early education, and business careers, these students are building real skills, earning state recognition, and representing our district with excellence.
A huge congratulations to all of our TCAPS kids recognized through Future Farmers of America, SkillsUSA, Michigan Industrial and Technology Education Society, Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, and other Career and Technical Education programs.
And thank you to Pat Lamb and the entire North Ed Career Tech Center team for creating these opportunities for our kids.
These trades programs matter.
They connect students to purpose, confidence, careers, and community.
And they remind us that success looks different for every student.
Proud of you all.

“The future of aviation is bright at TC West!
Congrats to Wyatt Goodrich (Bronze Medalist!), Matthew Minor, and Madison Steinhebel for their success at the SkillsUSA Michigan competition.” ~ Traverse City West Senior High School (TCAPS)
