Colton, High School Trades and Career and Technical Education in Traverse City

Congratulations to Colton Morris, a 2024 Traverse City West Senior High School graduate.

Colton completed two years in the North Ed Career Tech Center’s Auto Repair Program, overcoming challenges with reading and writing through determination and the support of tools like Snap & Read and Co-Writer.

His positive attitude, kindness, and willingness to help others made him a role model in the classroom.

Colton was part of Jobs for Michigan’s Graduates (JMG) program at Northwest Education Services.

“Colton has a passion for working on cars, gave it his all, and blessed us with that contagious smile!”, Lisa Baldyga, JMG Specialist.

With hard work and professionalism, Colton earned ASE Entry-Level Certifications in Brakes, Engine Performance, and Maintenance and Light Repair.

He credits his success to the incredible teachers and staff at Career Tech. Colton is now gearing up to attend the Michigan Career Technical Institute’s Automotive Technology program.
