When it comes to helping all of our kids succeed and:
- improving our district’s educational equity
- closing our student achievement gap
- more sustainable student health, wellbeing and mentorship efforts
- increasing the efficiency of our community partnerships
- boosting access to the district’s budgeting and decision making process
storytelling matters.
Storytelling Helps:
- Humanize Data and Statistics: Storytelling brings those numbers to life.
- Build Empathy and Understanding: Stories allow people to see the world through someone else’s eyes.
- Mobilize and Unites Communities: A compelling story can galvanize action.
- Highlight Inequities and Systemic Barriers: Storytelling can reveal the gaps and barriers within systems that data alone might overlook.
- Influence Policy and Decision-Making: Stories can be powerful advocacy tools.
- Create a Vision for the Future: Storytelling is not just about highlighting problems; it can also envision possibilities.
