TY FOR TCAPS

I try not to play favorites with TCAPS’ 16 schools but Traverse Heights has a special place in my heart.

It’s where:

1. Norte got its start
2. I met my little – Charlie
3. Traverse City’s Safe Routes To School efforts began
4. I first got involved with a PTO (I didn’t for some reason at my sons’ school but served as an at-large community board member last year)
5. I coached a flag football team (back-to-back undefeated seasons!)
6. A school-based adaptive cycling program began
7. A first-of-its-kind (that I know of here in TC) community-supported friends group, Roadrunner Nation, began
8. TCAPS’ mentorship program, Lunch Buddies, started

I love this fantastic neighborhood school.
